A trip to Azah's place
|

Was supposed to attend the kenduri at Azah's place last nite. Since hubby was away couldn't make it then. Made it up today even without hubby. Baked moist choc cake for her & family. Had lunch there at her place. Too bz gossiping that I've forgotten to snap photos with her.
My 3 kids tagged along xcept for baby bucuk macam, Nabilah as bibik preferred to stay at home with her.

Time flies. Intan Nabilah Insyirah is now 1 year++. She resembles more like her sister Intan Nurul Izzati, our second dotter. Overall they look more of their ayah.

This is for our dinner tonite. Got this from Mak Lang's fotopage. A simple dish yet very delicious & not so high in cholesterol  . The original recipe is Daging Masak Mamak but I've used chicken instead.

What's in da kitchen

As usual, as it's Sunday my kitchen is busier than always. First of all baked carrot cake for a friend, Anum. The recipe is from Rnet member.
Once done with the cake, started with lunch. Since hubby is away, had a simple one. Prepared beef rendang, vege soup, prawn & squid fritters.
Carrot cake K. Suria
(modified by Lynnsham)
Ingredients
A
4 egg yolk
1.5 cup corn oil
120gm caster sugar
120gm brown sugar
2 cups grated carrot
100gm ground walnut
B (sift altogether)
250g self raising flour
1tsp baking powder
1tsp soda bicarbonate
1 tsp salt
a pinch of cinnamon powder
C
4 egg white
Method
Whisk egg yolk. Pour in the corn oil, sugar, carrot & beat with a whisk. Add in walnut & other dry ingredients. In a separate bowl beat egg white till fluffy and mix into the batter. Bake at 180C for 45 minutes or 1 hour depending on the oven. Enjoy.... 
This is the simplest beef rendang ever especially for lazy bump like me Here the recipe goes.
Beef rendang Makcik Nah (my aunt)
1 kg beef
4 onions (ground)
2 ladle chilli paste
1 cup tomato soup
1/2 bottle sweet soy sauce
1/2 cup of 'kerisik'
salt
a little bit of cooking oil
Stir fry the onions till fragrant.
Add in the chilli paste
Put together the beef, tomato soup, soy sauce and salt anr stir well.
Leave it a while until the gravy becomes thick.

Weekend

It has been ages the last I updated the page. Blame in on the time??!! basically was tied up with office work plus having a baby around is really tasking. Now Intan Nabilah Insyirah is 1 year 1 month and this made ibu more adaptable.
Today, it's Sunday & I kinda get the mood to do extra cooking. Baked some choc moist cakes, order from Arab M'sian Bank. Later, made nasi tomato with beef curry and spicy fried chicken for lunch. Tried to get a nap after lunch but as usual ended up lying staring at the ceiling. Got up & started preparing donuts. Recipe from the Rnet member K. Sue and it's well known as Donut Suria. Enjoy the pics.

Wedding reception at Ipoh Garden South

This will be the last kenduri kahwin at our house since man is the youngest & the last one to get married. It's kinda great relief for our parents as age is catching up. Alhamdulillah evrything turned out well.

The bride's family organised a kenduri at Restoran Polo, Jalan Brash Ipoh. It's location is next to Padang Podo, well known by Ipoh folks as a recreation centre. The color theme for the day is green.
